When Ingrid and I walked through the house the 2nd or 3rd time, deciding whether to buy this 1941 house, Ingrid walked about of a bedroom declaring she thought she found shiplap in a closet. Knocking on a few living / dining room walls, we now believed that these walls were ALL shiplap!
This past week, as we geared up for Demo Day #1, Ingrid removed a return air vent to inspect what lied beneath. So when I got home, of course, I ripped down a small section of the maroon paneling to confirm what she thought: We had shiplap walls!
Just as we were feeling overwhelmed with the work involved in a true fixer upper, this little section of wood gave us the strength to press on! Demo Day #1 is Saturday. Check pack for updates.
